Identity Theft

Fifty-seven students of a Wichita Falls high school were victim to identity theft in an elaborate, well organized identity theft scheme in mid April. Apparently the trouble started in January when a teacher was contacted by a woman claiming to be a representative for the National Association of the Deaf. The woman told the teacher a convention would be held in Wichita Falls April 4-6 and students would be hired to help. Before the event they were asked for their social security numbers and other information so they could be paid. When they showed up they didn't find any convention.
